Mountains and canyons and rivers and sky and wildlife and love and struggle. The macro and the micro worlds. This abstract encompasses all of that. I worked on it while listening to, and being inspired by, Barbara Kingsolver’s Prodigal Summer. This piece, to me, is a series of snapshots, of summer days in nature, and in human connections. That’s what I see. What do you see? It’s personal to each of us. This to me, is the magic of abstract art.
As always, virtual images and various monitors do not do justice to the depth and vibrancy of the actual painting. All my paintings are varnished, and all sides painted (if not already framed).
