Wrapped & Stacked Stoneware “Rock”

Black glaze and engob on half & half clay. Found weathered terra cotta piece, crystal, leather and hemp cords.
I call these Calm Rocks. The base is a handmade out of clay, the middle piece was found on the beach and the crystal is from my stash. All secured together with decorative wrapping and knots. What is it for? Contemplation, connection, a moment to pause and breathe.
As always, virtual images and various monitors do not do justice to the depth and vibrancy of the actual piece.
